Tara L. Skubella is owner and instructor of Naturally Poised. Naturally Poised, licensed by Etiquette-Network Inc., is entering its second successful year in business. Tara believes that everyone deserves a positive self image, confident social skills and satisfying life. She is committed to enhancing people of all ages to “Be The Best You Can Be!”.
As a teen, Tara graduated from the Robin Thompson Charm School in 1989. This gave her the confidence to become a 1991 contestant in the Miss Teen Illinois All American Pageant. The same pageant that gave Hallie Berry her stardem.
Today, Tara holds a B.S. in Science Education from Northwest Missouri State University. She has enjoyed working with youth and families over the past ten years as a middle school teacher, wilderness therapy backcountry field instructor, mentor, camp counselor, tutor and environmental educator.
Tara enjoys working with all age groups and abilities, but feels most satisfied when guiding struggling females. She has over three years experience working specifically with troubled and incarcerated female youth.
When Tara isn't working she enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, camping, knitting, spending time with her family and pets, collecting rocks and minerals, traveling, listening to bluegrass music, woodworking and cooking. She is a well rounded and "down to earth" person who enjoys sharing her many talents and love for the outdoor sciences. She currently resides in central Colorado between Fairplay and Buena Vista with her husband, Mike.
